Terms of use

  1. These rules (“the Rules”) have been issued by Santander Bank Polska S.A. with its seat and address in Warsaw, al. Jana Pawła II 17, 00-854 Warszawa, registered by the District Court for the capital city of Warsaw, 12th Commercial Division, tax identification number 896-000-56-73, using the internet address santander.pl and the electronic mail address rzecznik.klienta@santander.pl.
  2. These Rules lay down the conditions on which the Bank makes available, free of charge, the option of use of the internet sites at the address santander.pl., and this includes the content or tools on those websites or services provided via those websites. In the event that the visitor does not accept these conditions it will not be permitted to make use of the internet sites at santander.pl. These Rules shall not be applicable to these internet sites belonging to the Bank and services provided via those websites which are regulated by separate rules.
  3. Services and content available on those websites at santander.pl are available to all visitors of the sites (the “Universal Resources”), except for services or content requiring registration, which is stated unequivocally on the relevant subpage (the “Special Resources”).
  4. The Bank makes available the following on the internet sites at santander.pl:
    1. selected information regarding certain services provided by the Bank or by entities working with the Bank
    2. selected financial information
    3. tools facilitating planning and communication (calendar, address book)
    4. tools via which use can be made of promotions and special campaigns run by the Bank or by entities working with the Bank at a given time, as applicable from time to time
  5. Use of the santander.pl sites requires:
    1. access to a PC device with an operating system that works with popular internet search engines
    2. the switching on of functions serving cookie files and javascript
  6. When making use of the santander.pl sites it is advised to use updated antivirus software.
  7. When the santander.pl sites are being used in an information technology communications system cookies are installed for the purpose of identification of the person making use of santander.pl in order to gather [tak, tak też może być]statistical data.
  8. While the Bank makes every effort to ensure that the santander.pl sites can be used from all popular types of computer, operating system, and Internet search engine, it cannot guarantee and is not responsible for the possibility of using and efficiency of use of the santander.pl sites in whole or in part when all of the available tools are in use.
  9. The santander.pl sites are used via the Internet, which is a network open to everyone and which by its nature does not guarantee infallibility or confidentiality in communications between anyone using the service and the Bank, including with respect to the content of transmitted data and privacy of the user’s data.
  10. While the Bank makes every effort to ensure that the santander.pl sites are accessible at all times, without interruption, and in full, it cannot guarantee this and is not responsible for their accessibility.
  11. Any person making use of the santander.pl sites must not transmit content of an illegal nature using the sites, and shall be fully liable towards the Bank as well as third parties for all content sent to the Bank.
  12. Access to the Special Resources shall be granted upon registration on the sites and requires that log-in data be provided (user name and password) specified at the moment of registration, upon each visit.
  13. Registration is carried out on separate subpages of the santander.pl sites by filling in the relevant form, accepting these Rules, and sending data. During registration all data of the person registering requested on the form must be given, and a username and password chosen for accessing the Special Resources. Consent must also be given to processing of data for the purpose of using the santander.pl sites. The submitted data of the person registering must be true and updated if changed. The username and password should be protected against being accessed by third parties.
  14. Registration may be permanently cancelled at any time by the registered person after logging in. This shall mean irrevocable termination of access to the Special Resources effective as of the moment of cancellation. The exercising by a registered person of the right to remove his/her data in accordance with personal data protection legislation shall have the same effect.
  15. Use of the santander.pl sites and the content, tools or services on those sites is permitted solely for private use in accordance with the purpose for which those sites are intended and in compliance with the law, the Rules, and moral and decent behaviour. In particular it is not permitted to use the sites in any organised activity for gain or without gain without the Bank’s consent, regardless of special protection afforded by the law, including copyright.
  16. The Bank has the right to block access of a registered user or cancel that user's registration should it be ascertained that the law or these Rules have been breache a dobre obyczaje? or upon suspicion of unauthorized use of a username and password. Cancellation of registration is tantamount to irrevocable termination of access to the Special Resources effective as of the moment of cancellation.
  17. Complaints and comments as to the operation of the santander.pl sites and available content, tools and services should be sent to the address rzecznik.klienta@santander.pl. The submission should contain at least the first name, surname, e-mail address and postal address for correspondence of the sender, as well as a precise description of the circumstances and irregularities being the reason for the submission. If this is not done the Bank has no obligation to review the submission. The Bank has the right to request additional information or clarification of the issues raised in the submission.
  18. Complaints shall be reviewed promptly upon receipt, in order according to the date of receipt. The person submitting the complaint shall be informed of the outcome of the review of the complaint by e-mail or normal post, at the Bank’s discretion.
  19. While the Bank makes every effort to ensure that content placed on the santander.pl sites is up to date, precise and available without interruption, the Bank is not responsible for any consequences whatsoever of content not being up to date, being inaccurate, imprecise or not reflecting the true state of affairs at any time, and also not being accessible, including the consequences of reliance on that content.
  20. While the Bank makes every effort to ensure that the tools and services provided on the santander.pl sites are available without interruption and function properly, the Bank is not responsible for any consequences whatsoever of improper functioning or inaccessibility of the sites at any time, including consequences of use of those tools and services.
  21. While the Bank makes every effort to ensure that the santander.pl pages are free of malicious software, the Bank is not responsible for the consequences of use of the sites in the information technology communications system of the user, including technical infrastructure and data.
  22. The Bank is not responsible for ensuring proper operation of operators providing connection to the santander.pl sites on the part of the Bank and persons making use of those sites.
  23. The Bank is not responsible for the consequences of improper use of the santander.pl, sites, including the consequences of registration being blocked or cancelled by the Bank.
  24. The Bank has the right to amend these Rules at any time. These Rules may be amended without notice and amendments are effective as of the moment specified by the Bank, but not before the amendments are announced. The Bank announces amendments to these Rules by publishing new Rules on the santander.pl sites and via e-mail sent to the address given at the moment of registration. Objection by a registered person to amendments is tantamount to irrevocable termination of access to the Special Resources as of the moment the amendments come into force, resulting in cancellation of registration by the Bank.
  25. The Bank may change the scope or type of content available on the santander.pl sites at any time, as well as extend, change, limit or stop offering individual functionalities and all of the tools or services available on those sites. The Bank shall announce any changes to material features of services and tools on the santander.pl sites and by e-mail sent to the address given at the moment of registration. Changes of other types are made without notice. The Bank is not responsible for the consequences of such changes.
  26. Any disputes arising as a result of use of the santander.pl sites and not resolved amicably shall be adjudicated by the common court proper for geographical location and subject matter.
  27. These Rules are governed by Polish law and have been drawn up in the Polish and English language. In the event of doubts regarding interpretation the Polish version shall prevail.
