PFSA notification of the amount of an additional own funds requirement for Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. by way of the buffer requirement for other systemically important institutions.

The Management Board of Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. ("the Bank"), informs that on 8 August 2018, the Bank received a letter, in which the Polish Financial Supervision Authority ("the PFSA") informs about the conducted review of the adequacy of the other systemically important institution O-SII buffer in accordance with Art. 46 par. 1 of the Act of 5 August 2015 on Macroprudential Supervision of the Financial System and Crisis Management. The PFSA has established that there are no premises to repeal or change the PFSA's decision of 4 October 2016 regarding identification the Bank as the other systematically important institution in its wording agreed under the PFSA's decision of 19 December 2017 that the Bank has informed in current report no 34/2016 of 12 October 2016 and in current report no 1/2018 of 4 January 2018.

The other systemically important institution O-SII buffer imposed on the Bank in the amount equivalent to 0.50% of the total risk exposure amount, calculated in accordance with art. 92 paragraph 3 of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No. 575/2013 of 26 June 2013 on prudential requirements for credit institutions and investment firms, amending Regulation (EU) No. 648/2012 ("CRR").
